Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and a musician. He was a member of One Direction. Born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England the 1st of February 1994, Harry Styles is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where he made his own band, composed of 3 classmates. He identified as the White Eskimo. The group won at the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to the excellent performance. Although he's always keen on music, in spite of his interest he was also looking at becoming a lawyer as well as a physiotherapist. He worked in a local bakery for a few hours to support his family financially. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition when he performed Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. The reason for this is that his group split. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the band to be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The group's creation began in 2010 when the five members were sponsored by Simon Cowell. The group performed the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the competition, which made them one of the frontrunners. However they were placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Although Harry Styles and his group were not crowned winners, Cowell paid a contract of 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with Syco Records. Syco recording label.
